Android Nation Coming to India, Google Aims to Wow the Fans

Apple and Microsoft have been doing this for years, so it's not a new concept. But Google is trying to make sure it keeps riding on the success wave till as long as possible. Android is already the leading mobile operating systems in most parts of the world, ahead of Apple's proprietary iOS that powers its iPhones and iPads, especially in the Asia region. Yet Google doesn't want to leave a stone unturned. Google has partnered with Spice Global, an Indian conglomerate headquartered in Singapore, to open an Android Nation store in the capital city of New Delhi.

Android Nation store is Google's way of promoting and selling Android smartphones and tablets of several well-known brands. People can get a hands-on experience of various Android-based device models before they go for the purchase. Customers can also check out the latest apps, get support from experts and purchase accessories for their Android devices.

Android Nation in Delhi will be Google's just third such store globally, which shows the kind of confidence Google has in the booming Indian market. The other two stores (opened in mid-2012) are both located in Jakarta, Indonesia, another Asian city with a growing economy.

New Delhi will get its Android Nation sometime this year in Select CityWalk, located in the posh suburb Saket. Co-incidentally, this place happens to be just a half-an-hour journey from where I live in Gurgaon.
